I’ve looked this up and it is apparently the Marianna Trench, which is in the Pacific Ocean, near the Marianna Islands.
The maximum depth is 10.911 km or 6.831 miles. I takes me about 60 minutes to run that distance, but thats a lot of water sitting on top of you. And life does persist down there, but its freaky! An amoeba 10 cm wide!!!! 😮
Thomas is right! Also is so deep that no fishes have been ever found, since the pressure is really high and not all organisms can live at that depth! Besides the lack of food! The fish of deepest waters is the Abyssobrotula galatheae and was found swimming about 8500 km deep! Check it out 🙂 they are spooky!
