Ahahah love this question! Yep, my bosses are very nice 🙂 no complaints so far! But is not always like this, though almost all biologists are easy going I have met a few that you wish you will never meet them again!
As a PhD student I have more then one boss (I actually have 4!). And they work differently to bosses in other jobs – they are here to act like a teacher, so that when I need advice on how to do something, or understand my work, they are there to help me out!
Luckily I have some amazing bosses! It’s great to work with them!
Yep! I have two supervisors, who I meet with monthly. Of course I see them frequently too. They have been in my shoes before, and have gathered vast amounts of experience and knowledge that they pass on to me. They have both contributed significantly to ecology already, especially the complexities of food webs and ecosystems. One studies parasites, food webs, sexual selection, evolution and invasive species. The other studies food webs, rivers, streams, ecosystem processes such as decomposition and the impacts of drought and climate change on these.
