      They are basically freshwater lobsters. A bit smaller though, but the American Signal Crayfish approach the size of a medium sized lobster. So, large crustacean invertebrates. Crayfish occur in rivers and lakes in Europe, the Americas, Middle-east, Australia and New Zealand.
